Prayers for our brother Terry Manahan today as he leaves to visit friends in Myanmar later this week.

The Financial Coaching Ministry at FBC is holding a series of classes to discuss various personal finance topics. In addition to the class sessions, individuals will have the opportunity to discuss their specific questions confidentially. We are holding a session TONIGHT at 7 PM at the church. We will discuss goals, investing, and retirement planning. Members of the public are welcome!

Our men spent their annual retreat working alongside the men of First Baptist Church of Shallotte, NC. They finished up cutting and removing limbs, taking down and removing plywood, and repairing a roof at the homes of 7 families. Together for the gospel! #FBCmensretreat

Our sanctuary is a work in progress, but then, so are we. WORSHIP ANYWAY!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! As you may know, we have had our sanctuary painted this week. The painter will not finish the sanctuary until Monday, so we will NOT need help setting up for tomorrow. THIS MEANS that we will meet UPSTAIRS for ALL Learning Center classes (except, of course the toddlers). If you have mobility issues and don't think you can climb the stairs, then tomorrow may not be the day for you to come. We could definitely use your prayers during that time. If you are sensitive to paint fumes, you will want to avoid the downstairs until next Sunday. (The Hospitality Center will still be open.) Another issue we are experiencing is that one of the upstairs AC units may not be working properly. SO, I recommend that you dress in lighter attire. The temperature shouldn't get more than 80 degrees. This will be an opportunity to "rejoice in the Lord always" and to "give thanks for all things" as we worship together. We are still very blessed people.

Our yard sale is almost ready! Tomorrow (5/5) from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the church!

A good (and COLD) time was had by all at our annual Father-Son Campout! There were boat races and creek adventures, and plenty of fellowship and good food.

Today in Sunday School our kindergarten class wrote their Compassion International child a letter of encouragement and then prayed for her (she asked for prayer for school). She should receive the letter and this photo this week. Keep up the good work kids!
